Welcome to QuiverWise. We help surfers find the right board for how they actually surf.

Buying a surfboard is confusing. Shapes, volumes, fin setups and dimensions all change how a board paddles and rides, and the wrong board can slow down your progress for months. We built QuiverWise to make that choice simple.

Who we are

QuiverWise is run by surfers based in Costa Rica, home to some of the most consistent waves in the world. We surf everything from mellow beach breaks to punchy reef waves, and we have ridden most of the board types we write about.

What we do

• Board finder: answer a few questions about your weight, level and the waves you surf, and we recommend a board type, length and volume.
• Buying guides: clear explanations of surfboard shapes, dimensions and fins, written in plain language.
• Product picks: boards we think are worth your money, with links to trusted retailers where you can buy them.

How we choose boards

We recommend boards based on their shape, construction, reputation among surfers, and how well they suit a specific type of rider and wave. We do not accept payment to include a board in our guides. Brands cannot buy a spot on our lists.
